Had it for One year, Still running like new Dec 06, 2009 I've had this television for a year now. It still runs great. I have used this television practically every day that I'm at home (unless I'm travelling) for over a year now for an average for 6-8 hours a day. I've never had any issues or problems with it. It looks great. Only problem is that the remote control is very long, wish it was shorter. Works seamlessly with the sharp blu ray players, although I do not recommend any sharp players ( go for the ps3). Good buy, although the samsungs that were around 1500 bucks last year are now cheaper than this product, should look into the samsungs as well in terms of pricing.

Great TV from Sharp! Dec 02, 2009 I spent a couple years selling TVs at a local electronics store and during my time there I developed a lot of respect for Sharp Aquos TVs. Out of box they were more suited to home viewing than showroom (as opposed to other manufacturers who max the brightness, contrast and up the color to radioactive levels) and they always exhibited excellent shadow and highlight detail.
The only frustrating feature I encountered was an automatic backlight setting that continued to work after being disabled. In a wide shot of a stage with a spotlight, for instance, it was VERY noticeable that the entire screen darkened. I alleviated the problem by narrowing the scope of the feature to 1. I don't notice it at all now.
I have had this TV for a month or so and I am extremely happy with it. I rated the speakers low simply because I've never heard them. My sound is all through a receiver. I marked down the pic quality only because some great new tech (like 240 hz displays) deserve a nod. For the money and for my needs I am completely satisfied with this TV. Awesome buy. Also 6ave was a fantastic vendor. I recommend them as well!

Amazing! Aug 28, 2009 We received this tv yesterday & Directv came today to upgrade us to the HD DVR. The picture, color & sound are awsome! Easy set up. It took me just a little while to go to the menu & set up the picture, color & sound the way I wanted them. I don't understand why some reviewers say the sound isn't good. You can adjust the bass, trebble, etc. This tv is way beyond our expectations. Directv supplied the HDMI cable. The Directv guy even wanted to know where we got the tv. Before the HD was installed the picture was nice but you should have HD to really get the best picture. The only drawback was that UPS delivered it & we had to take it out of the box ourselves, which isn't as easy as you'd think. It was packaged very well.

T Thompson May 31, 2009 We purchased this item back in Feb.09 Delivery was great (CEVA) my delivery from (CEVA) arrived in a timely fashion with a great delivery man. His name was Owen .If you live in the Wash DC metro area or Baltimore surrounding area and you order from Amazon I suggest you request him for your delivery. My Tv arrived in a timely fashion but, with some infraction, but Owen told me how to take care of the issues and everything he said was true. Kudos Amazon for the great service and great delivery with CEVA. Our TV is GREAT picture quality in out of this world. We have matched it with a surround sound so I could not ask for more. Better watch out SONY (if you really are top of the line) because SHARP AQUOS is coming for you

Best bang for your buck May 19, 2009 I bought this as my first HDTV for my apartment about 2 weeks ago.
While this was my first venture into HDTV, I did know what I wanted out of my HDTV and for the price, this delivers everything on my check list.
When I brought it home from my local brick and mortar, I was very happy with the setup. Installation was easy and the base is very sturdy. I will eventually buy a mount for it, but it isn't going anywhere with the stand its on.
I will say I was decently disappointed when I plugged my cable in the first time... not what I was hoping for out of HD... luckily I knew that source is king in HD and I set out to update all of my services as I only connected with composite and coax at the moment.
I called my cable company and updated my service for near nothing, they provided me with a digital box with HDMI support. At the same time I purchased a few $0.50 1.3b HDMI cables on Amazon. Once I put everything together the picture really started showing its stuff. Even the basic cable in 480p looks 100x better with HDMI cables and the few HD channels they threw in with my package were crystal clear. This was also true for my Xbox 360, as the HDMI looked quite a bit clearer than the HD component cables that were bundled with the Pro.
With all the bells and whistles set up, I finally got to really enjoy this TV.
My BIGGEST worry was pixelization, I hate that grainy look during fast motion on a lot of HDTVs. Luckily, I don't notice any flaw in the image. I play Call of Duty 4 pretty heavily and the quality is breathtaking. The 120hz really stands out.
Out of the box I didn't have to adjust the settings by much at all, so I was pleased with that, too.
All and all it was a good buy for the average Joe.
